The exam results are presented on a scale from A1 to C2. Students who pass the test are awarded the Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate certifies that the student has achieved language level A1. This level is the first level of the six-level scale of competence that is outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The exam is free. Students must bring an official government ID to the examination. Anyone who does not have an ID with a valid photo will be disqualified from taking the exam.
